STITCHES AND COLOR KEY
FABRIC: Aida 14 count STITCH COUNT: 66 x 86 FINISHED SIZE: approx. 4.7 x 6.14 inch / 12 x 15.6 cm The size of your final design depends on the fabric you choose. The higher the fabric’s count (number of cross stitches per inch), the smaller the stitches and therefore your design. This pattern was stitched on 14-count Aida fabric, using 2 strands of DMC thread, with only whole cross stitches. If you’re not familiar with the basic stitches you can check the stitches for cross-stitch articles. If you choose to frame it using a flexi hoop as I did, I suggest you leave an extra fabric for border of a minimum of 2 inches (5 cm).

To stitch the nutcracker cross-stitch pattern, you’ll need:
Fabric – Aida 14 count DMC stranded embroidery floss Needle – Tapestry size 24 Scissors (optional) Flexi oval frame
